Physical therapy is a healthcare profession that focuses on restoring and improving physical function and mobility in individuals who have been affected by injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Physical therapists utilize a variety of techniques, exercises, and modalities to help individuals recover from injuries by reducing pain, improving strength and flexibility, and enhancing overall movement patterns. Moreover, physical therapists play a crucial role in athletic recovery and injury prevention by designing personalized exercise programs, providing guidance on proper biomechanics, and addressing imbalances or weaknesses to optimize performance and reduce the risk of future injuries. As movement experts, physical therapists possess extensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, allowing them to analyze movement patterns, identify dysfunctions, and provide targeted interventions to improve functional abilities and enhance quality of life.
